I am a Design Team member here on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.
A few weeks ago, I was putting away a pile of Cardstock Scraps (I never throw scraps away).
I was thinking, there has to be something I can do with these long strips of Cardstock. Then, I remembered a fun little craft project my class had done way back when I was in elementary school. Weaved Place mats! Remember, those? I am sure we all have made one at some point!!! Excited with my idea (this may have already been done, but I haven't seen it) I got right to work and Voila!! This was the outcome of what I thought was one of my grandest of grand ideas!!

Wow, excellent tutorial Lori! So clear and easy to follow and your cards look stunning. Might just have to go and have a play myself with this one! Well done!
Hugs Mrs Jx
oh I need more hours in the day!! I have done weaving before (even done it with a class of 30 6 year olds - which is probably an experience better forgotten) but not for a long time.
I am so going to have a go at this.
Your tutorial is great and your finished card is just beautiful.

Wow this is just amazing. I just love your cards and the colors and layout is fabulous.
Dear Lori
Thanks for this tutorial...I'm a big fan!
Can't wait to try my hand at weaving...I'll be back! :)

This is fantastic! I've seen this done before and have even tried. However, I lack the patience for it. Can you believe I'm saying that???? I craft! I HAVE patience. But to weave strips of paper....... You make it look easy and fear not, I WILL give it a try!
this is fab lori, if I get time will give it a go myself

Oh Lori love this card and your tutorial was awesome can't wait to go try this one.
That is a great tutorial, Lori. It does not look as it is your first. I might try it too sometime as I have a ton of scraps.
Lori!! you are amazing!!! Absolutely excellent!!
Great job Lori! I might just have a go at this later today, maybe a valentine card.
This was a great tutorial!! Thanks for the very clear step by step instructions and photos! I CAN do this!! Beautiful cards, too! It's amazing what our Cuttlebugs can do, isn't it?!?
OMGosh!! What a great tutorial, Lori! It's very well written & easy to follow! Both cards are so beautiful!
Wowsers, how awesome is that! What a cool idea - thanks for sharing Lori and a great tutorial!
Great tutorial Lori!!

What a great idea - there are so many great textures and colors, and yet it all works together!
Great job!
Wow what a fun way to use up some scraps of paper!!! I will have to give this a try. I AM SO EXCITED to find out that the Big Top Note from SU will work in the CB. I had tried to find out about this from someone but they didnt seem to know!! I am so desiring this die now!!
oh lori - this is just wonderful! love the look of the weaving embossed!
You did awesome on that tutorial. I saw it on your blog earlier too and wondered how you did that!! Now I know :) I'm sooo going to try it.
Your little tip about the Cuttlebug taking the Bigz dies came JUST in time. I'm off to Jo-Anns with 2 50% off coupons in search for another die or 2 and I always pass those by assuming they don't work. WHOO HOO! ;)
OMG!!!!!! I am drooling!!!! Lori, this is fantastic! I would have never thought of this technique, but you bet I will be giving it a try! Gorgeous card, fantastic colors and design!!!
Lori--
These cards are fabulous! Love, love, love the weaving technique!
Great project for all those scraps I have laying around!
Tracy :)
Brilliant!
I am so new to this site, I posted the wrong one first.
Here is my weave card:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_317kdvnbEKo/SXtmWoNgGPI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/axJfxkoiECg/s1600-h/Circle+of+Love+(Small).jpg
I punched out the circles and then put my weave behind it and used the punched out circles back in the hole.
I think your tutorial was great and what a beautiful card.
Great tutorial!
I have weaved paper for a whole 12x12 piece of paper before.
I think I'll try this too.... when I get the chance.
Great tutorial. This gave me an excellent project for today. My card is located at:http://smullis7.blogspot.com/2009/01/woven-card.html
Thanks for a great idea!!
I LOVE this idea! What a great thing to change up your cardmaking! Great tutorial! :)
Great job Lori!!! You're such a pro, I don't know what you were nervous about! I will have to try that card soon!
This is truly amazing and definitely something I will try myself - thanks so much for this tutorial
I think this is soooooooo cool. I did some weaving on a scrapbook page once and I was very pleased with the result. But weaving with smaller strips and using it on a card makes it look totally different. Ideas are already floating through my head. I have tons of scraps. I'll give it a go.
Eveline.
Have entered mine - this was such good fun. I will be doing a better version sometime soon but I just wanted to show that I had tried.

Oh I LOVE this!!!!!! What a fun idea! I want to try this tonite!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Your card is just stunning!
That really was so fun!!!! I just posted mine! Thanks for a fun challenge!
I just posted my weave card. Thanks again for the tutorial Lori.
Eveline.
Great tutorial. Love this idea. Thanks for sharing it.
Sorry, I posted my link on the wrong project. Please disregard! Thanks!
How fun is this... I loved it..
ok it looks good but was a pain in the ya know! I think next time I'll remember to take a cardstock and mark it off at 1/4 inch and then cut the strip to that point that way I've only got 2 colors to weave and keep in place and have something to push against to keep it all tight!
But I got it done and the card is cool and I don't know who to give it too LOL.
Fab tutorial and great idea. I have finally got round to playing...a bit slow this week.
Hi Lori,
Finally, I finished my weave card. I just added in the challenge links. Your cards are fabulous, I love them all.
Hugs,
Arlene
