Cuttlebug Special Project #3

Hello to all Cuttlebug Challengers!
It's Kirsty here
Welcome to Special Project #3.

I hope I haven't confused you all with this project being numbered. You would be all wondering where projects number one and two are? I have done two other tutorials on here already.
So I have now decided I will number them so you can keep track of them much easier, and know which ones you have had a go at. I hope you all enjoy this months tutorial.
This project is a little gift for that someone special in your life on Valentine's Day February 14th. But you can adapt this little project to anything by using your cuttlebug embossing folders. I have used these little beauties as table favours at Birthday parties and workshops.

I hope you all enjoy this months project and have a go! Enjoy!
What you will need-
  • Heart Cuttlebug Folder
  • Cuttlebug
  • Versa Mark
  • Heat Tool
  • Clear Embossing Powder
  • Small cellphone bag
  • Length of ribbon
  • Valentine's Day stamp
  • Chocolates/Lollies
  • 1- 8.5 x 12cm Rose Red CS
  • Scrap piece of Rose Red CS
  • 1- 1.5 x 7cm Vanilla CS
  • Stapler
  • Tools- Scissors and Tape
  • Chocolate Chip Ink
  • Rose Red Ink

1- Pass your two pieces of Rose Red CS through the Cuttlebug with the Heart folder.

2- It should look like this.
3- Fold and bone the 8.5 x 12cm piece carefully so not to flatten the embossed image.
Fold so it is now 8.5 x 6cm.

4- With your scrap piece cut out one of the raised hearts.

5- Push it gently into the Versa Mark 'til it is all wet.

6- Cover it in Clear embossing powder.

7- When you go to heat and melt the powder, put a little re positional adhesive on the back to hold it in place on your work station when you use you heat tool so it doesn't blow away.

8- Stamp your sentiment with the Chocolate Chip ink on to the right side of Vanilla CS.

9- Softly sponge Rose Red ink around the edges.

10- Tape the heart to the left of the sentiment and then tape the whole piece to the Cuttlebugged flap.

11- Insert the ribbon in the flap and tie a bow around so it hides your crease.

12-It should look like this.

13- Put your Chocolates or Lollies into the bag, fold down the opening of the bag and staple it.
I think heart shaped chocolates from Darrel Lea would be perfect. I only had snake lollies on hand. I'm not saying my loved one is a snake though....lol

14- Place tape on the inside of the flap on both sides.

15- Adhere it over the stapled section of the cellophane bag.

16- Ta Da! That's all there is to your sweet little gift for your loved one!

I hope you all enjoyed the tutorial and remember I have only done a basic example. There is plenty of room to do more detail if you like using stamps and more Cuttlebug embossing folders.
I look forward to seeing every one's examples. Don't forget if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks for dropping by! Don't forget to add us to your blogroll, or follow this blog :)
