My name is Amber Goble Design Team Member and I've got a fab Valentine's Day tutorial for you. Very easy to create, but it is so much fun...
Are you ready to have fun?
Let's begin!
I started with a carton of Starbuck's Frappaccino. Don't you just luv that place :)
Did you know if you ask them for the Coffee grinds they will give them to you for free! For your garden to chase away those nasty bugs :)
And it acts as a great fertilizer agent :)
I decided to cover the cardboard carrier with paper. To do this I measured my carrier then traced the sides. I used a 12x12 piece of paper, cut it in half and it worked perfectly.

I then measured the carrier's handle and cut this out, taking my craft knife to remove the handle opening. I then ran this piece thru my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Now to make my carrier boarder, I cut 2 pieces of pink cardstock and 2 pieces of fuchsia cardstock. The lighter pink I ran thru my Cuttlebug. The fuchsia I scalloped using my Fiskars scalloped punch. I then layered them together and put them around the carrier.

Now I moved on to decorating my bottles. I painted the lids pink. Then I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities to decorate the lid.

I filled my bottles with different Valentine's candies. Then I measured a piece of pink paper to wrap around my bottle and ran it thru the Cuttlebug also.

I then inked my embossed dots, this is a great way to add dimension to your paper.

Now add your bling. I used ribbon and Prima flowers to decorate my carrier and boxes. And here is my finished Valentine Sweets.

This is a very cheap and easy way to present a sweet gift to someone! And there's millions of ways to alter this idea to fit the situation, such as filling the bottles with paper clips, chalk, etc. and making a quick and easy teacher's gift. It would also be adorable as a baby gift, just fill the bottles with bows, footies, baby goodies and decorate it accordingly!
I would love to see what you have created following this tutorial..
Please leave a comment and let us know what you think in the comment section..

This looks so much fun to do. I might give it a try this weekend.
Eveline.
So wonderful! I'm sorry I don't have anything Starbucks to play along with. I love your colors for this Valentine project.
I've been covering Starbucks cartons for over a year now - did TWENTY in November & December for a Christmas order. I make them into spa kits, by using choccies & bath salts OR I make sundae kits & put ice cream candy toppings in the jars. If anyone wants to look, they're scattered around my blog posts.
I really like your Valentine's idea!

Way to go! Great tutorial, Amber. Does anyone know if they have those for "non-coffee" drinkers? Such a cute idea, and I see other great ideas popping up, too! I'm inspired!
Oh I have seen these done many times!
I saw some cute ones at Halloween, with mummies and ghosts on the jars, one girl even wrapped the jar with tissue like a mummy with googly eyes.! Yours are cute too! I like the papers you chose.
Good job.
