a little bit about Sweet Sassy Stamps
Korin Sutherland is the owner and creator of Sweet Sassy Stamp..

In the fall of 2007, I was on a mission to find a cute knight stamp I could use for my son's 5th birthday party invitations. I scoured the Internet, but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided I'd try my hand at drawing one.
After sharing one of the invitations on my blog, I found that others wanted him, too!
The encouragement from my family and friends was all it took and I decided to pursue the creation of my own line of stamps. So here I am, and it's been one awesome ride! I hope you'll join me as I continue on this journey.
We are giving away the set Sweet and sassy digital Stamp provided to our Design Team to 10 winners On Thursday the 19th :)
Our First spotlight project comes from Kim Sonksen.
It's not always that easy to include glitter in your projects without making it look like a card for a little girl. Now, there is nothing wrong whatsoever with cards for little girls, but there are only so many of those you're gonna need, right? So generally I struggle when having to add glitter to a card or layout.
But not this time, oh no - I knew straight away what I wanted to do.

First of "all" I took an off-cut of Bling Bazzill and folded it over to create my card base. The top of the card was then run through my cuttlebug, using the "Mesh Texture" embossing folder. I adhered a strip of paper to the card base and kept adding little bits and bobs.

The oval on the right hand side was created by using the Die & Emboss Combo "Pearl Frame", which has quickly become one of my faves. It just frames sentiments perfectly on any card. To give it more texture, I distressed the edges and placed it on foam pads to raise if off the quote.
Now for the glitter part - there is a strip of glitter on the left hand side, which was done by simply placing a strip of double-sided tape on the cardstock, and pouring glitter over it. Shake off the excess and you have a perfect line of glitter.

Second spotlight project was done by our Christine Penaflor who has been so generous to share her card instructions with all of us, and her wonderful process.

1. Create a 5.5"x5.5" card base. Cut a 3"x5.5" piece of white card stock and emboss using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. Adhere to card base Cut a 3"x5 3/8" piece of patterned paper and adhere to the card base leaving a 1/16" border along the right, left, and top borders.
2. Using the Fiskars Apron Lace border punch, create a border along both sides of gilttered paper. Adhere to the glittered paper border to the card base.
3. Paint a chipboard flower with aqua and green paints. When dry, embellish the chipboard piece with Stickles glitter glue in Lime Green and Lil Davis glitter glaze in Ice Blue. Adhere journaling tag to the card base using foam dimensional squares. Embellish the tag on the card with the chipboard flower, Prima flowers, rhinestones, and alphabet stickers as shown.
4. Using an image editing software program, create a brush from the digital stamp image of the butterfly according to the software instructions. Stamp this image in a coordinating aqua color, re-size the image to 1" in width, print, and cut out. Adhere to the card to complete.

Hi, I made this card with two contests in mind and then I found out that your rules ask for your challenge to be the only one entered for a card, so I'm sorry, I disqualified myself, but I thought I'd show it to you because I had so much fun with your challenge (glitter) and I like the way my card turned out. I'll pay better attention next time and try to enter your next challenge. Thank you!

Could not find Mr. Linky. Disqualified myself in several areas. I used an embossing folder to add my glitter to rather than a stamped image. I also used a color challenge from another blog for my colors. Wanted to share the card anyway. Here is my creation.
