Rendezvous Monday - Cuttlebug Challenge

HI! My Name is Betty, or BettyBee to many, and I have the happy opportunity to bring you today's Rendezvous Monday Cuttlebug Challenge!

I was thinking about this being St. Patrick's Day week, and the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow... we could all use a little more cash, and we all want to think Green...so my challenge is to make "Cash from your Stash"!!! That means that your card this week is to be made completely from stuff that is around the house...nothing new! Dig into that stash of scraps, look around, and find something that you can recycle or repurpose into your crafts. Let's see what goodies you can turn into a "cash worthy" creation!

I took a picture of my scrap stash, but decided to spare you the gory details, but I know you've got plenty of scraps to start with...not a nice new piece of cardstock, one that has a chunk cut off of the corner :) My yellow one had a big smudge on it. I found a paper cup with cute fish on it that could be recycled, and also a piece of an onion bag. (You'll notice that for my crayon resist, that I even used an old crayon!!)

For the next card, I want to thank Dawn Griffin with Stampin' Up! for the cute pivoting card idea! All of the papers came from the scrap bin, and the feather came from my mostly ignored feather duster (who has time to dust when there is scrapping to do!!)

There are lots of shirts with buttons that want to come off, ribbons to be saved, dryer sheets to glitter, and hundreds of other creative ideas out there....I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!!! Let's save lots of cash with our stash, and help keep the earth green with recycling.

Happy scrapping from

BettyBee

and the Cuttlebug Challenge Design Team

Be sure to post your card or layout to Mr. Linky with the address to the project page, not your blog address...

Betty, awesome idea; really love that fishy card and your use of crayon was PERFECT :)... I have been in that mode for a few weeks now and loving it because i'm optimizing as well as being green! Just last week I made 3 cards ALL out of scraps! it is doable; just a challenge :)

I Love your card but...how do you glitter a dryer sheet?! LOL! I thought I had heard it all, done it all, (saving every string or ribbon I get and call it 'Fiber', etc.) but the dryer sheet beats all! Please share with me. How did I miss that??
