Inspiration from Jennifer McGuire

Good Morning Everyone! Are you awake yet? We have a fun treat for you today so grab a comfy chair and some Java, relax, enjoy and be inspired!

Please Welcome our Celebrity Guest Designer Jennifer Mcguire!

We are thrilled to have Jennifer McGuire join us today! You have undoubtedly seen Jennifer's work in Creating Keepsake Magazine as a regular contributor as well as a Hero Arts artist. There's a reason why so many of you gravitate towards her work -- it's fresh, gorgeous, and comes from the heart. Best of all she uses a cuttlebug.

Well, here, let me just show you! Jennifer created this card using her Cuttlebug along with a clever technique that involves sanding the embossed areas and adding color.

In fact, Jennifer created a VIDEO TUTORIAL that shows you exactly how she achieved the effect. You can run over to her blog to check out the video. While you're there, you may want to peek inside her video vault - I think I've seen each one at least three times - love her videos!

So you know by now that a challenge is in order, right? Right!

Create a card using your Cuttlebug and sanding. We can't wait to see what you create! Be sure to stop by Jennifer McGuire's blog and leave a comment.

I'm excited to see Jennifer's video but it's not up yet. Will there be a Mister Linky for the cards for her challenge? The only Mister Linky I can find is after the Fabric Flowers. There isn't one after the mini albums either. While I'm waiting, I'll go do some of the challenges so I can try Mister Linky for the Fabric Flowers. Thanks for all the inspiration this weekend.

Very interesting tutorial on the felt flowers. I've tried that technique myself, but with hearts, not flowers. I'll link it up later.

I've had my Cuttlebug since Monday and my DD and I played with it during AI - I am so glad to have found this site. I will definitely make a card today - but not sure if we just post in a gallery and share the link here or if there is a specific place to load challenges for this site. I will re-read and try to figure it out. Thanks for this site - it is truly inspiring. I love Jennifer's work, and her videos are going to be awesome!

Cuttlebug is wonderful little machine that you can cut paper, fabric etc.. with using dies, that Provo craft makes.
You can emboss using the cuttlebug to give texture. Ramona gave you the link to provo craft, quite frankly I rarely do anything with out using the Cuttlebug we are quite passionate about it here :)

Jennifer your card is fabulous! Thank you for the video tutorial.
I don't own a Cuttlebug YET but I do buy the folders to emboss with using a rolling pin and spray bottle. NOT the best way to do it but it has to work until I can get a Cuttlebug. Who would have thought that I would want something with the word bug in it so bad! lol
