This week challenge is to create a woodsy outdoor project, using woodsy animals (except for snakes) using twigs, pebbles anything from nature..
We have a fun Colour template for you as a component for this week.

And a great tutorial From our new Senior Design Team Member
Mel Of Mel Stampz.

Diorama Box
Step 1) Create a high backed box: A) Score a sheet of standard sized cardstock [on the horizontal (so it's short)] at 4.5 inches and at 8 inches B) Turn the cardstock [on the vertical (tall)] and score at 1 and 1/4 as well as 7 and 1/4 C) Cut 2 slits in the center of each side (4 slits in total) to make side flaps.
Step 2) Make embossed shrub panels: Print shrub templates out on green cardstock & trace it to make mirrored parts (for a liner); then, emboss them (this uses a homemade cereal-box embossing plate with little leaves.)
Step 3) Embellish & Adhere the embossed shrub panels to the inside & outside of the box. (These are inked & stitched with beads)
Step 4) Add scenery: Make a sky panel & attach it then create the trees, pond, and other details: A) print & cut the various templates B) cut the tree tops free-hand C) embellish and adhere it all.
Step 5) Print digital birds: colour them & add them to the box
Mel has generously offered our readers the printable templates to make your own diorama box. You can find them at the following links:

Terrie's projects are adorable, but it was Karen's "Hoo Loves You Baby" that really put a smile on my face! Great ideas from everyone.
What a fun challenge and I loved seeing what the DT came up with. I have already ordered my set of new folders from HSN (and a set for my Mom!) Looking forward to getting my own little owl!
I had so much fun with this challenge and go to "play" with some fun products from my stash! Can't wait for the next one!
What super examples! I should be cleaning instead of card making so mine is pretty simple - plus I struggled with the stones or twigs! I just got some new embossing folders - now am waiting to see the new ones.
Amazing challenge - they are getting better and more exciting with every week!
