Diamond Plate Embossing Folder Preview!

Hi all! Jen here, to show you more of what you can do with ProvoCraft's new Diamond Plate Embossing Folder!

-------------------------------------

I have a card tutorial for you today, to show off ProvoCraft's new embossing folder, "Diamond Plate". I hope you enjoy! You can visit my blog for more Cuttlebug, I'm rather addicted. :)

I thought this folder looked a lot like the grill on a truck and had 'man' written all over it. So, I created a masculine birthday card! I hope you enjoy. Here's what you'll need;

black cardstock cut to 8 1/2" x 11", scored in half
embossed and sanded piece of gray cardstock cut to 4" x 5 1/4"
embossed and sanded piece of black cardstock cut to 2" x 4"
dark gray mat for previous piece cut slightly larger
piece of coordinating patterned paper cut to 4" x 2 1/2"
sentiment punched in a circle
mat for sentiment punched in a slightly larger circle
4" x 3/4" strip of gray cardstock
4" x 1/2" strip of complementary color cardstock
two short pieces of ribbon
white waxed linen thread or floss

prepare card panel;
adhere patterned piece to bottom of embossed gray piece
adhere strips on top of patterned paper piece

prepare focal piece;
adhere black embossed piece onto mat
wrap piece with linen thread three times and tie into knot
adhere small ribbon loops (secure with tape on back)

adhere focal piece to card panel using dimensional adhesive
adhere card panel to card base using dimensionals
adorn with colored gemstones if desired

And there you have it - super easy, especially when all the measuring is done! I hope you enjoyed this mini tut - have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Very nice! I need that folder, my husbands hobby is buying and fixing old cars/trucks.
I posted a question on the post with the red/white/blue cards, I was wondering if I can get some clarification on it. Thanks!
