Hello! and happy Monday!! I hope you had a great weekend. Did you celebrate the 4th?
We are back again with another great tutorial for you. The best part is that I also have the NEW harlequin folder to show you in all it's greatness!! Wanna see it?? Here it is!
Isn't it great!! You are gonna find so many uses for this folder. Today I will show you a layout I created with this folder. Let's get started..To begin I will give you a list of supplies I used:
*NEW* cuttlebug harlequin embossing folder
1 sheet of Lily Bee french couture paper (exclusive)
1 sheet of Lily Bee french couture paper(handmade)
1 sheet of Lily Bee french couture (fashion show)
2 sheets of Bazzill cardstock (not sure the names of the colors)
1 sheet of Lily Bee fashion essentials die cuts
2 buttons by Jenni Bowlin
sentiments stamp by Unity
Red rhinestones by Paper studio
Title cut with the Cricut using the mini monograms cartridge
Step 1: I cut my red cardstock down to 5 1/2" X 9". I then cut the design in the bottom by hand. I inked the edges with brown ink. Then I cut the patterned paper (handmade) to 4 1/2" X 7 and adhered it offset on top of the red paper.
Step 2: Cut the orange cardstock to 5" X 12". Emboss using the cuttlebug Harlequin folder.
Here is what the first embossed area looks like. How cool, Right?!
Here you can see how to get a continuous pattern across a large area. I emboss the first part then, the next area I line up the first embossed row with the last embossed row on my paper.
Here is the strip all embossed....I love it!!Step 3: I inked all around the orange cardstock with brown ink. Then I adhered it on top of the red and patterned paper. Next I mounted my photo onto some cream cardstock. I inked around the edges again with the brown ink. Adhere picture on top of the orange embossed paper.
Step 4: Take a pre-cut strip from the die cut sheet and adhere it along the bottom of your photo.
Step 5: Stamp sentiment on cream paper and on die cut. Attach large sentiment to the patterned paper (fashion show) and attach to layout. Attach die cut with brads on top of die cut strip. Attach buttons next to the photo and 5 red rhinestones on the bottom corner of the patterned paper (handmade).
Step 6: Cut out the word TOGETHER on the cream cardstock using the cricut. Punch the letters out and ink them with brown ink. Attach letters to the top of the layout.
Here it is all finished up.
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial for you today. Come back tomorrow for more inspiration using the Harlequin embossing folder.Remember if you are not signed up to follow this blog do so today. We have so many exciting things coming and you don't want to miss anything.
