I am delighted to be `Showcasing` the Cuttlebug `Herringbone` Folder with you all today.
This is my first Tutorial as Senior DT so please bear with me!!!!
I would like to show you all how the `Herringbone` folder has a beautiful effect on
`Soft Leather`…
Handmade bags are the trend, today we are showing you how you can use your cuttlebug machine and the new Herringbone embossing folder to create a fun trendy bag, and a unique design for a card.
Firstly gather all your Products.
You will need.
Cuttlebug Machine. Herringbone embossing folder-Provocraft
See what a `beautiful` effect the folders have on the leather....
Then sew the piece of leather to the front face Fabric leaving a small edge at the bottom.
STEP 2…
Prepare your embellishments for decorating your bag.
Cut two strips of leather 8” x 2” glue together .(for your handles)
Cut out your flowers.
Then pleat and sew two strips of ribbon.(Enough length to fit along the front and back of your bag. I got one and a half metre long piece of ribbon and that was enough to do.
AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO
STEP 3…
Now take your piece of fabric with the strip of leather sewn on the front face and turn upside down. So the inside is facing the upwards. Sew your handles and your strips of ribbon to the top and bottom ends.
Fold both ends so they meet up together.
Tack both sides with berry pins together and sew right along both of the edges.
Forming your bag. (It will be inside out at this stage.)
Turn the whole bag inside out … (It will now be the right way)
You can now glue your trims diamonds and flower to complete your Bag.

But no gift is complete without a card.
So I created a matching card to complete my gift set.
I used a standard card, embossed the front face with my `Herringbone folder`
I then embossed a strip of leather enough to fit along the front face of the card.
Securing on the inside with double sided tape.
I glued my trims and diamonds on.
I then attached my flower and rub on txt to finish off.
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the soft leather
embossed to give a whole new look to my set.
I hope you feel `Inspired` to maybe try this.
I think you will be delighted with your results too.
How nice to fill this with girly things for a gift for your friends,
and so very pleasing to the eye.
Don’t you think so to?
`Thank you` for letting me share this with you all.
I’d love to know what you all think?
