Cuttlebug Be Inspired #43 and Digital Stamps!

We are very excited to be with you, what a week this has been! We were Provo Craft the maker of Cricut & Cuttlebug machines and others.

Invited guests at CHA, showcasing the different ways you can use the Cuttlebug and the Cricut machines. The design team did such wonderful samples, that garnered kudos from Jim Thornton the CEO, Eric, Bevan, Kim, Mike, Mackay, were very impressed with the samples, and such a joy to hang out with for a week.

Great thank yous to the team for shining a beacon on our wonderful blog. It was great to meet so many of our wonderful readers that simply luv what we do, and have made us their home. We are very proud to have been the first challenge blog for the Cuttlebug to inspire and foster a great community where everyone can gather and share their ART!

The highlight for us was when Donna Downey came to the booth and asked me "how did we use the metal in the cuttlebug?" Imagine being able to show something to the Grande Dame of Scrapbooking, and what an amazing machine the Cuttlebug is.

Today we have a fun challenge for you using digital stamps created by MlamarreDesigns. Everyone that leaves a comment will get to download the digital stamps to create with :)

The challenge this week is to create a project using the digital image provided :) how kewl eh?
This challenge runs from today until Monday to enter your project.

Label-shaped Core'dinations Whitewash Box (by mel)

Supplies:

* Papers: Coredinations Whitewash Cardstock (Garden Gate ww270) & Watering Can ww500
* BasicGrey paper: Pheobe-Japanese Tea Garden phe-754
* Template for the label-shaped box
* Image: Round Digital sentiment by Mlammare Designs
* Colour: Digi embossed in Silver embossing powder & coloured with Copic markers
* Tools: Pencil & eraser
* Provocraft embossing folder: Birds And Swirls
* Scissors & paper piercer
* Sanding block
* Double-sided tape
* Embellishments: Embroidery thread & needle; wire


Step1) Make the box: A) Print the label-shaped box template and cut it out along the solid lines. B) Trace template onto Core'dinations cardstock C) Cut the box out & score along the dotted score lines.

Step 2) Create a liner: Trace the box template a second time--this time onto patterned paper--omit the sides of the box for an easier fitting liner.

Step 3) Embellish the box: Emboss the front & back of the box in an embossing folder (requires a little creative cuttling to get the whole of the shape embossed.) C) Stitch it if you like & add a little trim.

Step 4) Emboss the medallion sentiment: Print the digital image by Mlammare designs onto the Coredinations cardstock. TheWhitewash finish lets you emboss it: spinkle on embossing powder as soon as the image is out of your printer & heat set it.

Step 5) Make the birdies: A) Cut the birds from the BasicGrey Pheobe paper, adhere them to cardstock & trim. B) Colour them & stitch them if you like. C) Affix one bird to a wire spring (made by twining silver wire around a marker barrel.) D) Add the birds to the label box.
