Easy CD Sleeve Party Favors

Good evening Cuttlebug fans, I'm Shantaie Fowler from Inkingpink and I have a quick party favor to share with you. This project will work with any party, plus it is fast and easily made assembly line style. {gotta love that}

To get started you will need :
card stock cut 51/2 x 11 {core'dinations used here}
sanding block {optional}
embossing folder of choice
scoring tool {score it used here}
adhesive
embellishments

Emboss the entire 51/2"x 11 piece of card stock.

with the transparent folder from Provo craft you can easily match your pattern. It will take 3 passes to emboss the entire surface. easy peasy! Sand to reveal color core if desired.

Score along the long end at 1/4" {this will be the bottom of sleeve}

Score along short side at 3/4" and again at 5 7/8"

Cut 1/4" strip of off bottom of sleeve on the same side you have the 3/4" flap as shown, leaving the 1/4" strip on only one side of sleeve.

Apply strong adhesive on outside of 1/4" strip, and outside of flap. fold sleeve over to close.

Its very important to ONLY place adhesive on the outside {black} of flap so CD will slide freely in and out of sleeve.
Mark center of sleeve and cut notch. I used a circle punch, an oval shape would work just as well. Now you are ready to embellish to the style of your party. This would be a great way to share photos from your get together, a CD of fun music, or a purchased copy of the movie shown at my movie party!!

I hope you are enjoying this months party palooza as much as we enjoy hearing from you, and seeing all of your creations! Please come back Wednesday morning and enter our new challenge for the week, come on grab your favorite folders, dust off that "bug" and get creating...you know you want to play along *wink* We welcome everyone to enter!

Let me know what you think!

Love this project ... wondering if you can tell me (a new cuttlebug) user how we emboss all the way across the paper with the folder as it does not reach the middle portions of the paper. Thanks ...

The paper for this project is 5 1/2 x11 so you will run the folder through the cuttlebug sideways, as opposed to running the folder through straight the way you would for other projects.

Is that clear as mud?? if it still doesn't make any sense to you I can email you a photo :)
