Fab Friday TV: Gatefold Friendship Card and the NEW Cuttlebug Journaling Card Embossing Folder




Hi Everyone...
I'm Michelle..and it's time for another episode of the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog's Fab Friday TV!

This weeks(Wednesday)Challenge was:Be Inspired #42 - National Friendship Day... and the Design Team had the pleasure of working with the new and wonderful Cuttlebug Journaling Card Embossing Folder from Provo Craft!

Today's video tutorial will follow along with this week's Be Inspired Challenge as I show you how to create a Gatefold Friendship Card using the Journaling Card Embossing folder.





You'll need all of your basic supplies such as a trimmer...adhesives... bonefolder...regular cardstock and coordinating prints...as well as:

A colored/completed image of your choice
Cuttlebug with A B and C plates
Scor-It
Corner Rounder Punch
Nestabilties Dies (plain edge and scallop) OR punches (plain and scallop)
6 small flowers with gem centers

Now that you've got the list of supplies... let's get started...

Countdown to CHA - Be Inspired Wednesday #42

What a fabulous month this has been!!! It has been such a privilege to bring you the new Cuttlebug Folders by Provo Craft, and today we are bringing you the last challenge of the month. Each designer has chosen one of the new Cuttlebug folders by Provo Craft to showcase in a gatefold card for National Friendship Week.

We are also excited to feature the awesome Whitewash Collection from our sponsor, Core'dinations, in our cards!

The snow melts on the road between friends' homes

Supplies:

Papers: Paper Temptress Bronze Stardream, Neenah White, Soft Sky, BasicGrey Marrakech 6x6
Images: Digital Frame by Mlamarre Designs (in white embossing powder)
Winter Neighbourhood stamp (Paper Garden Projects-Eat Cake Graphics)
Colour: Chocolate Chip craft ink with clear embossing powder & Copic markers
Accessories: embroidery thread, Quickie glue pen & glitter, seed beads, crochet lace, Cotton



Step 1) Create a digital embossed frame: A) Print Mlamarre Designs digital frame onto Bronze Stardream cardstock (from Paper Temptress) B) Quickly coat in white embossing powder &
Heat the embossing. C) Let the embossing cool & colour it with Copic markers.

Step 2) Finish the frame & add image: Cut the frame out. Paper pierce it and sew on seed beads. Layer the frame over a stamped image & add it to a belly band

Step 3) Make a gatefold card & add a winter neighbourhood scene for pocket & little embroidered knots for snow.

Step 4) Create a pocket sentiment: Print sentiment on the computer, cut words out & glue them to a shaped card (with no fold)

Step 5) Assemble it: Slide the sentiment card into the pocket & slip the belly-band (with the framed image) over your gatefold card.


The sentiment says "The snow melts on the road between friends' homes"
