I'm still waiting for news from Maggie, but I've seen some of the new photos from the Cricut website, and you've got to check it out!!!
They have introduced their new CRICUT CAKE EXPRESSIONS!! It will use all of the Cricut Cartridges, and cut Fondant Frosting, making your cakes and cupcakes the talk of the town!!
Also, the Cuttlebug folders and dies are to die for!! (Yep, Pun intended! Hahahahaha!!!) Go to
Products, then click on Cuttlebug, and Embossing Plus.....WOW!!! There are the most gorgeous new designs coming soon. Be sure to find the 12 inch borders and the Quilling sets, too! I wish I could post photos for you, but my computer isn't cooperating, right now. I will ask the other administrators to jump in when they can, and add them!
More to come, but I wanted to bring you the excitement as soon as it was posted!

I knew this would come eventually - I recently made a Disney inspired cake and considered cutting fondant with my cricut!

I looked on the Cuttlebug site and clicked on Products and then on Embossing, there wasn't any Embossing Plus and couldn't find any new "Quilling" items. Since I am a quiller I am interested in it, any help finding it?
I couldn't find it either using her way either. I think she left out a few steps. Instead of clicking on products, click on shopping. Then on the left hand bar, you'll see a tab with the letter C. Click on that. From there you can then click on embossing folders and other Cuttlebug stuff.

You can cut gumpaste with the cricut, but not fondant...too soft.
I have been doing this for ages...I use the same machine for scraping as I do for cake decorating, too...it works great!

totally cool that they are really trying to move into other markets. My 11 yo ds is so excited (he loves watching cake boss and other cooking shows!)

I am loving all of the new cuttlebug stuff, especially the long plates and borders and the 5x7 folders!
I'm anxious to see how the embossing plus works. It looks very cool. I also want some of the 5x7 folders. I assume there are new plates for the 12 inch long borders. Not sure I would use them enough.
think I'd better learn to bake now lol
