Sweet Treats Thursday - Sweet Valentines & Cuttlebug!!

Welcome to another Sweet Treats Thursday!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello crafters! Me again, Cindy, here to share some creations using my Cricut Expressions, my Doodlecharms cartridge and more. These really are simple to make, using the bear cut and the scalloped heart cut from the Doodlecharms cartridge.
Materials:
Tools- Cricut Machine, Doodlecharms cartridge, Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge. Cuttlebug Machine and Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Paper: Core'dinations
Misc: Liquid Pearls, Craft Box ink for paper edges, glue of choice.
The first thing you need to do is make some bears and make some layered hearts.
The Bears:
Cut Shadow in Red. Cut Bear in Brown (deboss with Swiss dots). Cut layers (shift) in pink (I only used the bellies). Ink edges and assemble. The inside of the ears, the eyes, and the nose on mine are done with liquid pearls. I didn't have black liquid pearls so I colored them with a black Copic after they dried.
The Layered Hearts:
Cut several scalloped hearts, decreasing size by 1/4 each time. With the exception of the smallest heart on the top, score and fold the the hearts down the center, gluing them together at the folds. Place glue on the back, outside edges of the smallest (top) heart and glue it to the assembled folded hearts. Add liquid pearls around the edge.
To make the Votive Candle Holder:
Wrap the rim with layered Core'dinations, pink on brown. The pink layer is embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder. Then wrap it with dotted pink ribbon. Attach a bear and layered hearts. Glue other single hearts where desired.
To Make the Box:
This box is a cut from the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. Put a layer of Swiss dot embossed Core'dinations on the side panels, as well as some paper on the top and on the heart closure itself. Usually this box is left where it opens at the heart top, but my preference was to let it open at the bottom. Attach a bear and layered hearts. Finish off with the pink dotted ribbon.
To Make the Card:
The card is very simple. A layer of red cardstock and a layer of Swiss Dots embossed brown cardstock, stitched around the edges. Dotted pink ribbon at the top. The bottom has 2 strips of Swiss Dots embossed pink Core'dinations. Attach a bear and layered hearts, as well as a couple of single layer hearts.
Hope you get an idea or two from these projects!
Please do leave a comment! Love to hear your thoughts!
Cindy
