Every Thursday we will be featuring great inspirational projects using Provo Craft Products!
GYPSY  tips n tricks  the fourth Thursday of every month, where you get to ask the questions you want to know.
If we don't know the answer we will contact Provo Craft directly and work with the development team to get the  answers.

The First and Third Thursdays we will showcase great simple styles, using Cricut Cartridges to inspire you with endless possibilities.
Second Thursday we will feature Cartridge reviews.
Months that has a fifth Thursday we will feature Your Story, Yudu,  Knifty Knitter.

The third Saturday of every month Diane (Capedia Designs) will be featuring Design Studio with step by step instructions.

Don't go away yet ... Here's our talented Design Team Member ♥Carol♥ with a Review of the Sweet Treats Cartridge ...

Hello Everyone … This is Design Team Member ♥Carol♥. WOW … aren’t Kathy’s creations totally amazing! I really do admire her creative talents. For those that aren’t aware, Kathy was the Grand Prize Winner of the Provo Craft's Cropping with the Cricut Stars Contest for her inspiring creation of Paper Dolls and Wardrobe Case – one that even Ken and Barbie would be envious of. If you have a moment, be sure to stop by her blog and check out her beautiful work.

Now that you’ve had a glimpse of what you can make with the Love Struck cartridge, let’s take a closer look at all that this cartridge has to offer.

The Love Struck cartridge is one of the 3 limited edition mini cartridges (or carts) released by Provo Craft for the Spring of 2010. This cart is filled with amazingly delicate and intricate images. Without question, this is a collection of the MOST intricate images on any cart produced by Provo Craft to date. 

There are a total of 50 different images which includes a delightful mix of sentiments, intricate images, whimsical cards, envelope, 3-D heart, treat box, and even an adorable mail box. Here’s an up close view of how intricate some of the images are … aren’t they incredibly beautiful …

Because of the intensely intricate nature of these delicate cuts, some have experienced a little difficulty cutting them. Remember, anything this intricate will cut better the larger it is cut. However, here are some setting hints that may help improve the quality of your cuts.

TIPS

Set your Cricut speed on Medium, the pressure on Medium, the blade depth on 4, and do a multi-cut of 2. (Note ... there are slight differences in some cricuts, depending on their alignments, you may need to adjust these settings slightly for your particular Cricut.) For those with either the Cricut Expressions or Create machines, there is a multi-cut feature button right on your Cricut. If you are using the original Cricut Baby Bug, you can do a manual multi-cut as follows … after the first cut and WITHOUT removing your mat, hit the “load paper” button. 


This will take you back to the same starting point on your mat. Now select the “repeat last” button for the 2nd cut. For those using either the Design Studio Program or a Gypsy, a multi-cut feature is available in your respective programs. Yes, this method takes a little longer, but I think you will be pleased at how much cleaner the cuts are. I’ve had great success with this method.

As you might guess, this cart is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Don’t forget … this cart is great for more than just Valentine’s Day … think first dates, first kiss, engagements, anniversaries, weddings … in fact, this cart is perfect for any romantic occasion in your life. This previously posted mailbox was also created from the Love Struck cartridge …
