Welcome to Cuttin' Up! This week our wonderful sponsor was Crafty Secrets! How fun it has been to take a walk down Memory Lane. We chose for our projects this week to use altered items. We had such a delightful assortment of ATC size cards that we were given to play with. So please join with us in the Be Inspired Wednesday Challenge
My husband has to go to England and Paris on a business trip coming up, and has asked me to go along! By using all of our combined airline points, I was able to book a flight!!! I am so excited!
Well, recently we have gotten into making little videos - you know, tutorials and what not - and we are planning on making a DVD of our trip to Europe. It is my first time to Paris, and I am oh, so excited. Feel free to leave me comments with "must do" activities over at my blog! So, I altered this blank DVD case to put our DVD in when we return! The top of the trunk says "Paris" :)
I "mod-podged" the DVD case, mod-podged on the K&Co.™ background paper (this was my first time using Mod-Podge™ - love that stuff!) and Crafty Secrets™ items. I embossed the "Post Card" with the Window Panes Emboss Folder™. Then I cut the sentiment from Graphically Speaking™ out of Core'dinations™ paper and pop-dotted it. I added some buttons and voila'!
Recipe:Cartridge/Sentiment: Graphically Speaking™
Embossing: Oh My Crafts Exclusive: Window Panes™ (4 embossing folders on sale for $4.99 - That's why I bought them!)
Stamping: My Pink Stamper's Family and Friends™ set (the word "memories" stamped on the trunk)
Ink: VersaMark™ Neptune
Paper: K&Co.™, Core'dinations™
Mod-Podge

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Crafty Secrets. I designed this Journal using their
Nostalgia Line.
I covered this very plain journal with this pretty vintage background paper, then added the elegant medallion to hold the Crafty Secrets centerpiece. A ribbon punched trim along the both edges, one of which is topped with another layer of trim, bring another element of grace to this very special gift for a very special friend.
Supplies:
Crafty Secrets Nostalgia
Blank Journal
Storybook Cricut Cartridge
MS Floral Band Border Punch
EkSuccess Chain Lg. Edger Punch
Papers from Marco's, Core'dinations, and K&Co
Skittles.

This week on Cuttlebug Challenge we are walking down Memory Lane. I've been wanting to make a birthday calendar. I was given this wonderful Happy Birthday card from Crafty Secrets. I just knew I had to make it. I took a cork board that I got for $1.00 and went about to decorate it. The edging is done with an EK Sucess Birthday Candle punch which is then lined with ribbon. The months are cut out using Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge. The cute little calendar is from Home Helps, that I got with the membership from PC Crafters.
Supplies:
Crafty Secrets
Scrap Cardstock
Ribbon
EK Success Birthday Candle punch
Calendar Clip Art
Thanks for joining us on this nostalgic journey! We hope you are inspired to create something fun with today's trendy "old fashioned" designs! Your Cricut, (or other die cutting machine), will have a lot of pieces that will enhance your project, and we hope you will share it with us at our Be Inspired Cuttlebug Challenge! We love to see what you're creating!
