Love gathering 365 days of Valentine! Rendez vous Monday

Hi Everyone,

Counting down to Valentine as we share the love 365 days of the year!

Today I want to share several quotes that embody love perfectly.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.
Helen Keller

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
Heather Cortez

You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.
Sam Keen

"When you are in Love you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams."
Dr Seuss

Welcome to Rendez vous Monday!

Catching up with the Holidays!

Happy Friday!

The month of January is almost at an end and we are all working on our new year resolution right? I promised myself before the end of the month, I will have most of my Holidays scrap and check off as an accomplishment.

Today I will be sharing some tips and tricks with you on using Core’dination papers to create fabulous background and embellishments.

Ellen shared tips n tricks earlier this week, I hope you have enjoyed those and have learned a few tricks.

If you have not been to the Core’dination site today, please take a peak and leave a comment on the giveaway

Hello, I’m Jackie with you for Fabulous Friday. One of my favorite picture of my nephew as a baby, visiting with Santa. I’ve found that there are no rules on how many times you can scrap a fav picture lol.

Let’s begin!

Tip

If you have a busy pattern the best way is to break it down by combining solid cardstock from core’dination as to not compete with the picture to tell the story better.

Tip

Put your button to good use by creating shape elements, first trace the shape then adhere the buttons to create the shape.

I use the Irock from Imaginisce to create the snowflake, thru the layout.

Hello everyone, I’m Maggie your hostess for today sharing a few tips n tricks using Coredination papers. You can find the 3 layouts , I’ve shared on their blog today! I am a frugal scrapper. It wasn’t until I met Brenda Arnal as her assistant at CKU5 years ago, I started thinking of how to stretch the products I have. You may remember Brenda was a contributing editor at Creating Keepsakes Magazine, she shared monthly how to use every scrap.

Let’s begin!

TIP

Coredination papers usually have a stripe on the bottom of the sheet to showcase the core colour. Usually most people tear that strip and throw it away. Instead use the strip to create rosettes the core colour will give it a beautiful two tone colour center, see the rosette to the left below.

TIP

Create a unique texture background by using your embossing folders from Cricut Cuttlebug folders. I use the Swiss dot, and Victoria  embossing folder.

Sanded the emboss portion, then lightly spray with Glimmer Mist.

Added dimension with the Twinery Twine.

Exploring
Creating a depth on your layout is very easy with the core colour coredination cardstocks.

  • Mist the edge of the cardstock lightly and tear to create a valley
  • Repeat with the steps
  • Embellishments were cut with the Cricut Cindy Lou cartridge and embossed with Swiss Dot Folder.

Coredination papers are so easy to cut in the Cricut and the possibilities with the core is endless.

Happy Crafting

I’m Davi. I made a very traditional Valentines card. A punched edge, embossed panels and stitching for the body. A sentiment, some punched valentines for some dimension and a hand dyed bow.

Melissa created this fabulous card with a twist, instead of the bird in the cage, the bird is free to fly away! Making this project bright and cheerful!

Tips and Tricks with Core'dinations

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Ellen Sosnoski here with some tips and tricks to use with your Core'dinations Colorcore Cardstock. Now, for this post I am going to go above and beyond the basic sanding and tearing you can do with Core. If you want some of those basic tips, head over to the core'dinations blog here. There are great tips on their blog daily, they have a brilliant gallery loaded with inspiration from the Design Team and they have videos!

AND if you hurry, they are giving away 40 packs of the Brand NEW just released Tim Holtz cardstock paper packs. You only have until January 28th, 2011. CLICK HERE.

For this first layout, I used my Quickutz! Yes, you heard me right. I looove to use my Quickutz with my Core but not just for die cutting. I used my handle and dot embossing folder on here and just squeezed up and down the sides of the cardstock and then sanded! It is SO SO SO easy

Next up is a fun way to use your Cuttlebug embossing folders WITHOUT the Cuttlebug!!! Cool, huh? One thing in my stash I rarely use are the Embossing Borders. Here is a great way to use them on layouts and larger pieces of paper that won't fit through the Cuttlebug.

Just place them on the edge and use a hammer to get this embossed edge! You may want to make sure the kiddos aren't down for a nap because it can get a little loud ;)
