Hello everyone, welcome to Rendezvous Monday. Today we are sharing the luv of creating using our stash with a little bit of change, and within 15mtes we will create a beautiful home décor for our spring. I just luv Spring it gives me an excuse to change my décor.
I was at Micheal’s in their scratch bin of 75% it so happens there were 3 frame one was missing the glass and I was glad it was missing I purchased all three for $3.39 and I knew right away I wanted to do something whimsical.
This inspiration is universal if you don’t have a Gypsy or Cricut, no worries, use stencils or better yet create your own stencils from your own drawing or pictures for a unique touch.
Supplies:
- Broadcloth, glimmer mist, gypsy, cricut machine, home accent cartridge, Cuttlebug by provo craft, Fabritac glue, Ranger stickle, Marvy Uchida marker
Instructions:
- Select your frames, mine are 8x10 with an insert of 5x7, remove the mat , emboss with Cuttlebug folder using a rolling pin.
- Ink with Ranger distress ink, then mist with Glimmer Mist, let dry.
- Cut image from Circuit Cartridge to create a stencil or mask, spray with adhesive, adhere to the broadcloth.
- Spray the broadcloth with the lighter colour in a sweeping motion, then add the remaining colour, dry with heat embossing tool.
- Remove the mask, use the marker and accentuate the outline to add depth.
- Add stickles in the center of the mask let dry.
- Adhere the Art using Fabri tac glue on the back of the mat, mount frame on the wall.
Tip
For added interest I used the cap dip into Glimmer Mist to create random circles!
Repeat the same process for the remainder broadcloth, and the tow other frames.
Voila done!
I hope I’ve saved you more than 15% today and inspired you to create your own mask using your Cricut for a fabulous home decor.
