My heart remains in Manarola, with tutorial using dictionary paper

Maggielamarre-Manorola

Happy Friday!
me2Maggie here today with an easy 15 mtes layout. You hear all the time love at first sight, I've not had the pleasure to experienced  it  until my first trip to the Cinque Terre, Italy.
I did fall in love with Manarola at first site, the amazing colours of the houses, little village perch on the side of a mountain, where it's easy to walk. All the seafood is catch on a daily basis.
Lately I've been falling in love with dictionary pages, but there's a trick to get them to cut right on the Cricut due to their thinness, you have to use the same setting you would for Vinyl, once you use those setting then it's a piece of cake. It’s an easy tutorial to follow.

Welcome to fabulous Friday!

Remember you will get frayed edges, and some cuts that just add to the shabyness of the flower.
Supplies:
Provo Craft Mother's day bouquet cartridge, Basic Grey rhinestones, Stampin'up date stamp, Markspapercompany paper, Prima brads,Ranger stickles (Cinnamon), SEI buttons, Cuttlebug embossing folder (European), SEI pattern paper, Bazill basic paper bitter chocolate, mocha.
Instructions:
  • Cut 6 flowers using Mother's day bouquet at 3.25", 2.75",2.5 from dictionary paper, cut 3 flowers at 2" , using pattern paper. Ink the edges, add brad in the center, cut another  3 flowers at 1", ink the edges, add rhinestone to the center.
  • Cut a strip of the Marks paper 3",ink the edges, adhere to the brown paper to the right, cut another strip at .50" adhere to the right of the larger strip.
  • Cut a 5x7 mat emboss with Cuttlebug European folder, adhere to the strips, add the flowers to the right of the mat, add Basic Grey rhinestones. Add the remaining 3 small flowers to the left of the mat.
  • Cut 4 circles from the pattern paper, ink the edges, adhere to the left and right of the chocolate paper, add buttons and rhinestones.
  • Stamp the date on cardstock, ink the edges, adhere to the bottom left of the large strip.
Voila an easy layout in less than 15mtes.

Do you craft with music on? Yanni and a giveaway!

Hi Everyone,

SONY DSC

Happy Friday, it’s going to be another hot day here in Florida, we’ve enjoyed some unusual cool weather for the past few days, after a ghastly storm. It’s a great day to say indoor listening to music.

Do you snack or listen to music while scrapping? I don’t snack I’m always fearful of food falling onto my projects. I do listen to music but mostly Jazz or 80’s type of music.

If I’m on a deadline my music of choice is Yanni’s collection. I found them to be soothing and keep me on track.

Speaking of Yanni I discovered his music while I was in College my roommate was from Athens, thus began my journey w/Yanni. I’ve waited 8 long years for a new CD.

If you are a fan of Yanni wait no more the new Cd Truth of Touch is here, I must tell you how fabulous it is he has Arturo Sandoval doing a solo and I must tell you this man can make an instrument fly lol…

There are 15 tracks to this cd and my favorite as you guessed it is the 13th with Arturo. Yanni is currently touring the United States and you can see him featured on PBS regularly.

Here’s Yanni take on the  CD.

“I work the rhythms in this album,” explains Yanni about the new material. “There is a beautiful complexity in these rhythms, a new sound design. I think the melodic content is very strong and very memorable. I was having fun with this album and that’s going to become apparent.”

One 2 One Network is sponsoring a giveaway to 1 winner, if you are not familiar with Yanni’s work you are in for a treat. This new body of work is available in store. Find more info at Yanni.com

Want to listen to Yanni? It’s easy

  1. Be a follower of this blog, leave a comment on what type of music you listen to while scrapping.
  2. You have from today until Wednesday the 13th to leave a comment. Winner will receive the cd directly from One2one network.
