Hello everyone! Carole here filling in for Maggie. I recently moved my craft room from our den into our daughter's recently vacated bedroom. My husband painted it, thinking he would use it for a man cave, but the logistics didn't work out. So I inherited the freshly painted (lovely shade of gray) room for my very own. I decided my accent colors for the room would be Aqua and Purple and so I made a sign for my wall which expresses my delight with my new craft space.
I love these Michael's $1 wooden frames. They are so inexpensive, versatile, easy to work with and very hard to mess up!
Here is the process for this project. First, paint the frame with acrylic paint in your color choice and a foam brush.
While the frame is drying, create your oval shape and wording with your die cutting machine. I used my Cameo and fonts installed on my computer.
Now, cut out your shapes. I placed my letters on the oval. It looked kind of plain to me. It needed a little something.
The letters needed to pop so I added a dark gray offset (shadow) for the words.
What a difference a shadow makes! I like this much better. Here it is placed in the frame.
Nice, but it needs a little dressing up. I added some Bo-Bunny Rub-ons, black tulle flowers from Creative Charms and some paper flowers I made using cuts from my Cameo. Lastly, I added ribbon to the back (adhered with a glue gun) so I could hang it.
My sign/plaque is now ready to hang in my Happy Place!
Supplies needed: Wooden frame, paint, paint brush, paper/cardstock, die cutting machine, adhesive, embellishments, and ribbon, string or hardware for hanging the plaque.
Easy, inexpensive and fun to do project. Try one and see for yourself!
Have a happy day!
Carole

So pretty. Perfect...for your new studio. I'm inspired to name my space and make a sign too!
nice Post written by you guys. It is amazing and wonderful to
visit your site. Thanks a ton for such a nice post.
Thank you for the tutorial. I think I even have a few of those blank frames or plaques that would work for this project!
A party is a gathering of people who have been invited by a host for the purposes of socializing, conversation, or recreation. A party will typically feature food and beverages, and often music and dancing as well. Thanks.
The locality is likely to have a well defined name but have a boundary which is less well defined and which varies by context. London has a legal boundary, but this is unlikely to completely match with general usage. Areas within a town, such as Covent Garden in London again has some ambiguity as to its extent. Thanks.
Instructions for preparing a dish are called recipes. Some dishes, for example vanilla ice cream with fudge sauce, rarely have their own recipes, as they are made by simply combining two ready to eat preparations of foods. Thanks.
Great thing very professional. But why there;s no english version. dealing with translator is hard :)
We all have our very own happy place. But for me, my happy place is above the mountain because I can do what ever I want and no one will interrupt me.
You could always get your own broker's license and open shop by yourself, saving the split, desk fees, etc.
But then you have to buy your own E&O insurance, maintain broker status by continuing education courses and pay rent for an office with it's associated expenses.
Many people I know have broker's licenses, but choose to work for another broker for these reasons. Thanks a lot.
Develop a brochure that recalls your successful track record, ties to the community and ability to close the deal. Present your skills in a positive light, but without bragging. Before printing brochures, show your brochure rough draft to your broker or company for approval. Thanks a lot.
Nicely crafted. I like it so much.
